Physician Recruiting

Monday, October 16, 2006

A physician is a person who practices biological medicine. In the United States the term physician is commonly used to describe all medical doctors while in the rest of the world the term doctor is prevalent, as physician refers to specialists in internal medicine. Not all physicians have doctorates, although they are still popularly called doctors.

Medical education, training and career pathways vary considerably around the world. Following completion of entry level training, newly graduated doctors are often required to undertake a period of supervised practice before full registration is granted, this period may be referred to as internship or conditional registration.

As the number of employment opportunities is not equal to the number of new physicians every year, the pressure to find physician jobs and locum tenens is intense. At HealthCare Partners, their experienced consultants can help you find the coveted physician job that suits both your training and experience level.
